Nicky
Schmidt, P.T. serves as President and Clinic Director of Women & Men's
Nutrition and Weight Control Centers. She received her
bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Louisiana
State University Medical Center in 1978. During her 31 years of
clinical practice she has worked as a neurological
rehabilitation specialist in a broad spectrum of healthcare
settings including acute care hospitals, short term
rehabilitation facilities, outpatient clinics, home health and
private practice. Mrs. Schmidt was an Associate Clinical
Professor at LSU Medical Center in the 1980’s and has been a
Coordinator Instructor for the North American Neuro-Developmental
Treatment Association, Inc. since 1985. She has taught
post-graduate introductory, basic and advanced neuro
rehabilitation courses to healthcare professionals throughout
the United States and Canada for over 20 years. A member of the
American Physical Therapy Association, the Louisiana Physical
Therapy Association, and past board member and Chair of the NDTA
Instructor Group, Mrs. Schmidt currently serves as a member of
the NDTA’s Curriculum Committee and as its International
Liaison. Currently Nicky works part-time in private practice in
the New Orleans area specializing in the treatment of both adult
and pediatric clients who have suffered a stroke, brain injury,
or other neurological lesions.
Marci Cahill-Leach, Vice President COO
Marci
Cahill-Leach serves as Vice President and CFO of Women & Men's
Nutrition and Weight Control Centers. Marci designs the programs offered by Women & Men's WCC for both private and Corporate clients along with programs and seminars offered by the Center. Marci has 30 years
experience in the business field; she served as General Manager
of a large local Telecommunications company for 18 years, a
voice and data applications engineer consulting for 4 local
companies, 3 national companies and 3 City government bodies
throughout the United States. Marci has taught in the field of
communications, voice, data and communications auditing for 25
years. She is the President of Communications by Design a
project management firm specializing in Voice and Data
applications and Design.Mrs. Leach has 25 years experience in lecture and teaching in the fields, of sales, marketing and various forms of communications allow her to design an excellent program of professional qualified speakers from the medical, defense, counseling and cosmetic fields as added value to the Clients of Women & Men’s Nutrition and Weight Control Centers. Marci serves on the Board of Directors for Good Shepherd United Church of Christ and Community Recovery OutReach is a member of NAFE (National Association of Female Executives), United Children’s Fund, MADD, SADD, a founder of Christmas in July, and past President of KBA.
Nicole Wynne, Staff Dietician
Nicole
Wynne is a Board certified and licensed Dietician for the State
of Louisiana. She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana
at Lafayette and Yale Medical School. Nicole completed her
dietetic internship with honors at Yale in 2002. She is the
first Yale Medical School Dietician from the state of Louisiana.
She teaches in the Hospital setting and provides professional
nutritional training for surrounding community organizations.
She also practices part-time at Our Lady of Lourdes Weight
Control Program in Lafayette, Louisiana. Nicole maintains a
private practice specializing in eating disorders and weight
control and is the head dietician and nutritional consultant for
Women & Men's Nutrition and Weight Control Centers.
